⑴ 中国历史上经历了哪几次翻译高潮代表人物有哪些

中国翻译史上出现过三次翻译高潮：从东汉到宋朝的佛经翻译、明末清初的西学翻译和从鸦片战争到五四运动的西学翻译。

1、从东汉到宋朝的佛经翻译，代表人物：玄奘、晋代道安、苻秦的鸠摩罗什。

从两汉至唐宋时期，佛教传入中国并与中国传统的儒、道糅合。伴随着佛经的翻译入传,印度的哲学、文学艺术、医学、天文、算术乃至语言在我国都有一定的影响，但这一时期的翻译活动还是以传播宗教为主。

那时由于对外交通的需要，创立了四夷馆，培训翻译人才。明代末期，西学东渐，翻译工作更活跃起来。但此时翻译的方向已完全改变，不再是印度的佛经，而是欧洲的天文、几何、医学等方面的典籍，中国翻译史已达到了一个新的阶段。

3、从鸦片战争到五四运动的西学翻译，代表人物：鲁迅、严复。

鸦片战争以后，中国有识之士痛感学习西方之必要，翻译活动又逐渐兴起，在中国翻译史上形成又一个新阶段。五四运动以后，中国历史进入了现代，翻译的重要性远迈前古。中国新文学的兴起同翻译是分不开的。

由于时代不同，严复对“信、达、雅”翻译标准的解释有一定的局限性，但许多年来，这三个字始终没有被我国翻译界所废弃，其原因在于：作为翻译标准，这三个字的提法简明扼要，又有层次，主次突出；三者之中，“信”和“达”更为重要，而“信”与“达”二者之中，“信”尤为重要。

因此，有些翻译工作者仍然沿用这三个字作为当今的翻译标准，但是旧瓶装新酒，一些人已赋予这三个字新的内容和要求。例如，他们认为“雅”已不再是严复所指的“尔雅”和“用汉以前字法句法”，而是指“保存原作的风格”问题。但总而言之，严复对我国翻译事业是有很大贡献的。
