1. 重大电气的历史沿革

重庆大学电气工程学院(原名电机系、电气工程系)创建于1936年,与土木工程系、采冶系、化学工程系等同属于工学院,院长税西恒兼任电机系首任主任。税先生早年毕业于德国柏林大学,曾任重庆自来水厂总工程师。

1952年学习苏联进行教学改革,电机系设置发电厂、电力网及电力系统和电报电话通信两专业。1953年学校决定取消电机系,改设电信系,任命江泽佳为电信系主任,1955年电信系全体学生和绝大部分专业课教师调往北京,与天津大学无线电系合并组建北京邮电学院。重庆大学又恢复电机系,除发电厂、电力网及电力系统专业外,增设电机及电器专业。江泽佳任电机系主任直至1982年12月。
